Alright Arf's I know there are some guys here who run some higher HP rides. Some people are happy with the simple daily drivers. Other have to push the limits and go fast. Post up your High HP stuff if you are willing. I know there is some cool diversity amongst the gear heads of the forum.

I put forth the coin for a 13' 5.7 Hemi thinking I could easily get that but I was wrong............ Going to have to upgrade to the 5.0 Coyote or a Vette in the spring......

05 Duramax tuned to aroud 550 hp. Gonna throw on a second turbo and push it up to 700 soon.

is this whp or at the flywheel?

I have an Evo 8 that puts down just under 400 hp and just a tad bit more torque on a mustang dyno. on a dyno jet or something similar it puts out closer to 450. I'm estimating i'm making ~500 at the flywheel if you roughly estimate drive train loss of awd.

it's alot of fun to drive but I find myself longing for a squishier quiet daily driver so I can just bring this thing out on the weekends for a blast down a back road.

My son is prepping to do the same thing. He already has the turbo and some other parts. He's at about 650 right now.He wants to run a sub-11 second quarter.

I put a Ramjet 502 in my dad's '70 chevelle. Open crate, drop in engine, 503 hp instantly.
Link Posted: 12/2/2013 4:34:24 AM EST
Only at around 380whp in my 335 right now, I will be at 450whp/500hp crank by next summer.

Prob stop at around 450whp though as the car is just more than a straight line car.

This pic is from the mock-up, have since gone to a Vic Jr single plane intake and a Quick Fuel 750 double pumper:

Not quite 500 horsepower, but still it's a screamer for (only) 333 cubic inches. Especially in a car that weighs less than 3k#. Best 1/4 mile ET was 12.1 (on street radials) at 114mph. 60' was in the 1.9s
It wasn't until I put slicks under it that I started breaking stuff

Had a 2006 twin turbo g35 pushing 450whp, but 560wtq. Was a beast.

Sold it due to reliability issues, now have a 2013 M3. My dad has a 2013 M5, while the M3 will easily beat an M5 on a course, the M5 is a straight line beast.

VERY NICE!

Here's my dodge. 600HP of wheel spinning fury. If I can help it, It'll be 800 or so relatively soon.

Your 5/7 Hemi should easily put out 500 HP with a few things done. For all the effort to replace it, Just bolt on a supercharger and you'll be there. They are not all that expensive.
http://www.kennebell.net/KBWebsite/SC_pg/Dodge/layouts/Dodge.htm
Kennebell makes some nice stuff, as well as procharger and a couple others. Price is relatively nice too. 6K isn't that much when you're adding a couple hundred HP.

02 Duramax, should be just at 500RWHP, maybe a lil under. Need to get on a roller next summer and find out. Built the trans myself and using downloader stacked with a old school module.

Should be right at 500 at the crank. Dyno'd 430.

I know member Archtaan has or had a newer Challenger with a twin turbo Hemi that was making around 1100hp. It was f'ing sick. Maybe he will see this and post some pics/more info.

'11 CTS-V bone stock:
Fun around twisty tracks and 12.08 @116 in a straight line on drag radials.

2007 GMC 4x4 CCSB Duramax:
S475/stock compounds, built trans, Cognito front end stuff. 12.48@108 7450 lbs Haven't had it on a dyno except for a shitty inertia dyno that wouldn't load the truck; it said 480hp (that's not close)

2003 Chevy Silverado single cab long bed 4x4 Duramax:

1056hp to the tires on the tune I race with. Little tune makes 860 to the tires, didn't dyno the "big" tune. Probably not much there since I have some drive pressure issues to figure out....10.18@134 in the 1/4. S475/ 98mm Precision compound turbos. Dodge 48re "Duraflite" conversion uses a standalone PCS controller. 100% over injectors, 2 stock LBZ CP3 pumps. Normal Chevy suspension stuff: tie rods, straight centerline. Double adjustable shocks all around. Removed a couple of leaf springs, Caltrac traction bars. Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials. Weighs exactly 6000 lbs.

Junkyard?!? That's waaaay too clean to be "junkyard"

My old junkyard project:

$3000 total. $100 roller 302 longblock. I ported the e7s, $80 used f-cam, $80 Holset H1E off a backhoe that I bought on ebay. Had a friend who owns a diesel shop "rebuild" it even though it only needed new seals. Homebrew holley 650 converted to blow-through.

Made 505rwhp and 559rwtq on 93 at 13lbs. T-5 manual.

Only fast car I have currently:

800-900hp. 355. 6-71 overdriven 15%. solid roller. ported dart 200cc heads, methanol etc.

Weighs 1350lbs with me in it with full safety gear on. First passes next May.
Link Posted: 12/3/2013 4:45:06 AM EST
02 WJ 4.7 & 05 SRT-4 are about 500HP total. I know the SRT puts down 239HP to the ground with a clutch that's starting to slip. All that and a bag of skittles.

I need to visit your junkyard, I only have around 450 hp.

I have a NASCAR 355 spec engine on the stand right now that hasn't been on a dyno. All bowtie with a Braswell carb. 3 disc Tilton clutch, Super T-10 4 speed. Should be fun. It is going in a 65 C-10 pickup with a 9" Ford rear with a Detroit Locker.
