Hey Hawkeye, great truck. Does that have a lift ? And what tires ? Mine is a 94, so is it pre-ban or post ? You can see it at www.gohumvee.com under Readers Rigs. ("Dan Warfle", it's actually Glenn) This is a cool site, the guy will have a Landcruiser in the TOUGH TRUCK competition in Four Wheeler magazine.

Nice jeep hank. I had a 78 also with automatic Ford V-8 and constant 4 wheel drive. What a gas guzzling Beache! Wish I still had it though it was a fun vehicle. It would idle up the side of a house in low range!haha

Polyak, I just got a 2001 Tundra this week. How do you like yours? I'd like to put a brush guard and running boards (bars actually) on but I have to wait a little bit. Also, what kind of tires are those and what size are they? Sorry for all the questions. Chimborazo

Nice Suburban, Boomer! I don't like what GM has done to its finest SUV lately, body style included. Another fine model is a 1986 2500 4x4.

My biggest complaint about pics of 4x4's is that you rarely see them OFFROAD in the pictures! Nothing says "my truck is just a grocery getter," or "my truck never leaves pavement" than a freshly washed truck sitting in a driveway! Talk about photographing a vehicle in it's element! I'm ranting a bit, but I see too many too many people who customize offroad vehicles and use them primarily for highway use. It's like using a long range target rifle to shoot pop cans at 25 feet.

Thanks Hawkeye1, you've re-affirmed my belief there are still people out there that take trucks offroad. There's one 4-wheeler club in my area that has an annual ride-along and scavenger hunt, and the worse place they drove through could be negotiated by my Chevy Cavalier! A year later, they made some of the checkpoints more difficult, but they weren't all mandatory or factored into the point system.

The factory's are 265, so a nice difference between them. I do get a little rubbing inside the right fender well at full right lock. I will be installing the Cornfed spacers in the front next month to level the front of the truck up with the back end(I don't care for the nose dive appearance). The Cornfeds will solve the rubbing problem, since it rasies the front 2". For about $150 the Cornfeds are a great mod for the Tundra. They really look nice when the front is raised to be level with the rear. I know several people around here with them, and the looks are extremely improved.

Thanks polyak. I too am switching out my tires, but I'm going to Michelin LTX's. I'm going to 165/75/16's I think. I'll make my final decision tomorrow. Did you notice any difference in gas mileage? -C
