Just got a Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 mag. What is the better all- around bullet for deer? 180 or 240 gr.?
The 180 grain has more energy than the 240 gr?

any good 240 JHP.....

I've never shot a deer w/ a .44, but I've killed piles of 'em with a .50 muzzleloader shooting .44/.45 pistol bullets. Any good 240-grain bullet will work. I like Hornady and Nosler. The Barnes pistol bullets are the cream of the crop for deer-sized stuff.
