My tire dealer recommends 3000 miles. I have a maintenance agreement for them to do it free, but whenever I call for an appointment, they're busy. They'll do it if I can leave it all day, which is never an option , considering my wifes health issues. I could make half a day work, sorta... So, I pay for it myself, every other oil change, 6000 miles. Put me down for 6000 miles...

6000-7500 miles. I've gone as far as 10,000. I rotated every 7500 on my F250 and went 65,000 on my tires.

Every other oil change is a good rule I guess.  I usually end up going like 10K though.

Buy your tires at Discount Tires and they'll do it for free for life.

Buy your tires at Tirerack.com and you'll save enough to have them rotated where ever you want.  Discount wanted almost $200 more for the same tires!!

Actually, call the local tire shop as well. I just got a set of Revos + install + tax for less that I could get them from tirerack shipped... Like $60 less. Shipping is a killer on truck tires.

Funny, I saved $200 after shipping on tires for my Ranger. The local shops wanted more money for shitty off-brands. Tirerack.com all the way.

The tires rotate constantly as you drive around.

sheesh!

i just went 35,000 miles on a set without rotating them once - and i had no problems with uneven wear.

i just bought a new set, and i plan on doing it every 6,000 or so since these tires will wear much more quickly.

Tire rotation.....
I put 300,000 miles on a set of RIG tires , never rotated them. Wore perfect.

I have NEVER rotated tires!

TIP:
keep aligned
maintain propper air presssure. Whatever is on the sidewall is what you use, tire mfgs KNOW thier product better than anyone.
Follows these tips and you should NOT have any issues.

Same goes for oil changes, oil analysis will benefit you more than swapping oil out every 3000 miles.

Rotate tires when they need to be rotated.  If you don't know how to tell, and if you're an "average" driver; about every 5,000 miles.
