We live in south Stafford.  We got about a foot of snow.  Absolutely beautiful this morning when we got up.  The pup went nuts playing snow plow and leaving little yellow spots.

Later, the neighborhood kids joined ours in sledding out in the meadow down by the stream.  A fun day.

Lots of work too.  I used the Troy Built to clear the neighbors' of driveways today.  They were happy.

Pics to follow...

Early this morning...before plowing.

John, it looks like you live near me.  I recognize the quarry and split rail fences on Braddock.  I live in South Riding, over where 50 meets up with 606/Old Ox road.  Shoveling today was a bitch!!

Incredible.

Those are some beautiful pix. When there is a snow like that it is a different indoor life - knowing you are bound unless you are willing to make serious preparations.

Hopefully, a nice raging fireplace going about now

Here is the tree which fell when I was plowing my driveway.  Heard it snap and the power lines broke and the  phone / cable bounced around.  Power was out 24 hours.  I finally had a real life situation to use the backup generator and it worked perfectly.  I had water, lights and even TV.

I'm in Bristow, and I take that Rte. 29 "scenic route" through battlefield on the way home from work sometimes.

Love the view, but you do not want to be behind those damned dump trucks from the rock quarry.

It s not a big deal.  At no point have I complained about the snow except that I have complained that we did not get more.

This thread is about nice pictures.  Not southerners afraid of snow.  And NOVA is not the south anyway.

The Fed.Gov can call the park Bull Run State Park, be we Manassholeians call it Manassas Battlefield.
