A guy called and said he has 6000 rds in battle packs/tins and it has oriental markings of some kind?
Any ideas on who it could be made by or if it's any good?
Specifics on the markings to follow as soon as he gets home.

Sure it's not Paki? Man that ammo is teh suck!

Thought Malaysian was 223? Or is that Guat?

All the Malaysian Ive ever seen had all marking in English. Its good

Wasnt all the Norinco .308 copper washed? That might be a clue. Its marginal - but in this environment <.>

Dunno Korean - would be PMC?

Only other thing that come to mind would be Paki - not heard good things, but no 1st hand experience so dunno.

Possibly by Chartered Industries Pty Ltd. -- Singapore.

If so it's good stuff, IMO.

The guy got home and called me back, it was the .223 that was marked with oriental writing he sold that already.
What he has now is 6000 rds of south african 140 battle packs marked (head stamp) R1M1
