I need to buy one! where can I, and who is cheapest and/or best service?

you know battle packs are just boxes of ammo sealed in air/water tight plastic right? you can get them from almost every ammo dealer. try Aimsurplus & Sportsman guide to start.

I bought a 300rnd battlepack of South AFrican .223 at a gunshow for about $90 if I recall correctly. However, it shot quite dirty, and gummed-up my gas-tube, resulting in failed ejections. Also, some failed to ignite at all. In short, buy one if your rifle is quite robust and can digest about anything, otherwise I'll be avoiding SA ammo in the future, in general.

Holy s*** - you got screwed paying $90 for a 300 round battlepack. Hell you can get 3 - 300 rounders (i have a buddy so i get a good deal) for that. I shoot (700 rounds so far) it through my bushy and have not had 1 problem. Loaded hot and shoots straight. I love the stuff. Not IMI M193 but a hell of a lot cheaper. Hell I have a 2700 rounder coming this week. Just wish sportsmans guide would get the 20% coupon out soon! Aimsurplus.com and Sportsmansguide.com will give you much better deals. Dave
