I saw this flick yesterday, both my wife`s and my reaction upon leaving the theatre was ;eh, it was alright.
Good action, sorta Matrix meets Casino.
Terrible plot.
Very nice guns.
Courtney cocks has a smoking backside.

I agree, it is too bad.
There were alot of bad tactics shown like shooting from the hip and hollywood theatrics.
But someone knew about weapons on that movie cause there are some nice guns in that movie.

Kostner himself may have taken a hand in the consulting on the guns used in the movie. As I understand it he loves guns, shooting and collecting....he just doesn't think we "peons" should own them. [:(!]

I beleive Kurt Russel is a big time hunter. If anyone knows if this is true please let us know.

Saw the movie. Loved the guns, but I had a problem with the casino's having all that fire power.

I went to Nevada for a shooting, hunting, gambling trip and of course I checked all my weapons at the hotel casino.

I started to check in my stuff and the security guards were very impressed with the fire power we had.  So we get to talking.  The check in takes a good 30 min cause my group is packing about 10 to 15 guns.  

I start shooting the bull with the guards and to my disbelif, Turns out that the guards in the casino only have the side arms, 9mm and 38special only.  They have no arms cache.  

In jest, I said, "I would love to see your arms cache for the casino".  He replies "we don't have one".  Something to do with the gaming laws, they were pushing it with the side arms they had.  Also mentioned that the casino's are trying to convince the gaming board to let them get more weapons.

I could not believe it.  

Was this guard just feeding me some bull?
Does anyone have any direct experience working in security in a casino?

some casinos here don't even have armed security. most just let them carry 9s, .38s and perhaps the occasional .40.

i'm told that some casinos have shotguns, but you'd only ever see them if there was a long-term riot on new year's or something like that. IOW, highly unlikely

Just saw it this afternoon. Boy, I tell ya. If you're up for a good shoot em up bang bang movie this is it. Never seen so many weapons used. And yes they do reload. Amazing huh? The plot kinda sux. Pretty cool guns: Kimber Pro Carry, M96, M60, tons of M16 and Shorty's, and lets not forget the MP5's. Story and acting is not as good as heat but the action certainly rivals it.
