Two men were stabbed in Times Square early Sunday, authorities said.
The victims, both 25, were knifed during a fight with the attacker in front of Madame Tussauds wax museum on W. 42nd St. near 8th Ave. around 2:15 a.m.
“They were stabbed in anger,” said a source. “The suspect wasn’t defending himself.”
One man was stabbed in the chest and was listed in critical but stable condition at Bellevue Hospital, police said.
The other man was stabbed in the shoulder and was treated at the same hospital for non-life threatening injuries, police added.
The suspect is described as a man in his 20s who was wearing a dark colored t-shirt and jeans. He was seen fleeing with a woman wearing a beige jacket. She is also believed to be in her 20s.
“It’s terrible that this nonsense still goes on out here,” said Manhattan resident Jill Goldman, 28. “Families are out in Times Square now. The cops have to get on this.”
Gordon Barton, a 52-year-old street vendor said: “It’s Times Square; anything can happen out here. Still got to be careful. Stuff still goes down.”
