EMT's, wear your vests. Uniforms attract bullets. I'm the only volunteer in my company who purchaced a vest and a lot of people can't understand it.

Local paper said it was a five shot .357 magnum. Something is very odd about this shooting?

Turns out the weapon was an off duty carry piece. The fact that it was only a five round weapon saved the officer's life. You see the shooter was pointing it at his head and pulled the trigger and the weapon just went "click" as the hammer fell on an already spent cartridge. He was also lucky that the first round fired went through the suspect's hand before impacting his chest. A sad situation all way around!

looks like the wounded emergency tech tried to tackle the shooter after taking one in the shoulder. Good man, didn't give up the fight.

Another pat on the back to the hospital clerk who grabbed the dead officers gun and got in the fight.

Two ballsy moves by two civillians who went above and beyond.
