Not about guns. Saving that one for another paper.
ETA: Yeah not a paper, it's not graded and will be read aloud to the class. ETA2: Engineering Major. Just taking care of my English requirement |

The National Parks, or a National Park, or the National Park Service. Lots of interesting topics.

That's not a paper...that's a paragraph. Pretty much. I imagine I have had longer posts than that. As for topic.......surprise buttsecks. It's causes and effects. How to identify. Potential dangers. Future outlook. |

Why you feel that the toilet seat is your S.O responsibility and why
|
|
Not really enough words to prove a point, so you are going to need some philosophical shit. Like a man torn between Beans or No Beans.

Why farting in a jar is good idea.
A rant on why no one has bad a toilet paper glove. Why more women should walk around with thongs hanging out Why that baboon on American Idol should be kicked off. The million dollar business idea of inventing a pill that makes farts smell like flowers.

How about "Transgressing the Boundaries: Towards a Transformative Hermeneutics of Quantum Gravity?"

That's not a paper...that's a paragraph. This, not enough words to fully develop an idea. Do a comparative paper, Reagan v. Obama. |

Write something about US government.
The responsibilities of the Senate, House, or White House. The process for getting a budget from Congress to the President. The hope of ever getting a Federal energy policy. The definitions and meaning of communism, socialism, national socialism, a democracy, a democratic (or representative) republic, libertarianism, and anarchy. With examples. Engineering - - Why the value of pi does not have millions and millions of numbers on the right hand side of the decimal point. - Why and how an airplane can take off from a conveyor belt. - How red shift is used in astronomy. - The time for a radio signal to travel to Earth from the Voyager spacecraft. - The fallacy of the supposed superiority of the "metric" system. - The physical properties of the atmosphere to 60000 feet. |

Leaning towards that beans or no beans one... any other good ARF arguments to discuss?

To what extent does moral relativism (it was more acceptable then, but seems abhorrent now) excuse the practice of child labor in the late 19th century?

How to procrastinate. EDIT, ^^^ did I win? Room mate says the teacher might think I'm an ass, it is the second week of class after all. I might do it about how fucked up the teaching/learning process is in America, such as how kids memorize, take a test, and then jettison their memories right after, essentially learning nothing over time. |

250 words is not a paper--it's a page.
edit: i should be more helpful, i suppose. how about "legal protections offered to women by the state are cynical attempts by a pseudo-liberal elite to maintain the oppression of women by setting up a protection racket?". writing something controversial always helps. |

Prove mathematically that this paper is insignificant to your overall diploma/GPA |

Is The Penis Mightier Than The Sword?
A great poet once said that The Penis mightier than The Sword. After all of these years, I think that it is time for us as a society to evaluate the merits of this statement and determine which is truly mightier, The Penis or The Sword. On one hand you The Sword, which is long, hard and is used to thrust and stab. In the other hand you have The Penis, which can be both hard and soft, but is also used to thrust and stab. But in addition to stabbing and thrusting, The Penis can also be used to write your name in the snow. Like The Sword, The Penis can be hired out for the service of those who are in dire need. It seems that in many ways, The Sword was modeled after The Penis, which means that The Sword is a copycat Penis. However, The Sword is better than The Penis in that you don't have to put a condom on a sword in order to use it on strangers. I guess in the end we may never truly know which is truly mightier, the Penis or The Sword. |

Engineering, I suggest why hings break when they shouldn't.
From bridges to buildings, lots of stuff that falls down was carefully designed not to. |

Got it. Gonna be a piece about the failures of the American school system. I'll pick another less serious topic when we're a few weeks in.

Eh, on second thought I kinda want to do one about damn kids being addicted to their smart phones 24/7. Went on a trip with a group, at one point we went to the beach, where more than half immediately pulled out their phones to take pictures to put on Facebook. Who needs all that to watch an F'n sunset?

dude, 250-500 words? Are you in middle school?
Most of my assigned MATH PROBLEMS have more words than that. |
