Overheard two guys at the coffee shop this morning talking about how much ammo they had. One guy was claiming over 22,000 rounds of ammo and about 20,000 of that was .22lr bought when it was cheaper than air. The other guy said he wasn't allowed to count the .22lr because it was so cheap when he got it Apparently how much you spend on your ammo plays into how much ammo you actually have . People are funny.

I guess ammo stashing is a competitive sport these days? I always just buy ammo to have some to shoot and never worry about running out, not to compete in a dick measuring contest in the local coffee shop

At $80.00+ a brick there is now a new standard for pecker measuring. You just sound jealous size challenged to me.

Yeh I heard they sell coffee there. It is more of a diner like waffle house (but not a waffle house) than a coffee shop like Starbucks.

I've heard lots of people not count their .22 ammo when they're talking about how much they've got. Makes sense to me.

Shit, if you are going to count rimfire ammo, you might as well count pellets, BBs, nerf darts, and those little plastic saucer disks.

Do you not approve of people going to coffee shops?

Yeah, rimfire doesn't count.

And if you're still counting rounds instead of cases or pounds, you don't have enough.

I go and have coffee at the local Cafe with all the other local Farmers and Ranchers in my area and we all call it the "Coffee Shop".

.22lr has never counted, doesn't matter how much people are paying for it nowadays

Thats how I inventory my .22lr also , by the brick and not by the round. But if I ever enter an ammo count contest you bet your ass I'll count it by the round

Coffee shops around here are filled with... uhh... hippies?  [Cartman] God, I hate hippies! [/Cartman]

No matter what time it is I see overly tattooed, gauged-eared, vegan douchenozzels that wouldn't know hard work if it hit them across the face sitting on the patio (cold temperature, snow be damned).

Being American and judgmental, I automatically assume all coffee shops are like this and make fun of people that go to them

I don't count rimfire when I count my stock, for the reason that anyone who counts/stocks centerfire ammo should have IMMENSE quantities of rimfire as a given.

If I had 22k of .22lr, I would put it all in a kiddie pool and Scrooge McDuck it.

Considering the current cost and availability of .22LR, I would say that it currently counts.  Ordinarily I would so "no" but not currently.  If 22K rounds of .22LR does not count, please drop it off at my house.

I always separate rifle, pistol, .22

So if I am counting ammo, I group all my .223/.308/other, 9mm/.45/.380, and .22

I will say i have x,xxx rifle, xx,xxx pistol and xxx,xxx ..22

I always go from lowest quantity to highest quantity.

I also only count what I plan to keep, not what I am in the process of flipping.

Good move.

Those who aren't well endowed should take a seat in the corner and just

FYI, .22LR isn't counted, it's weighed.

It's something men used to do.

Edit;

Usually, you would meet your crew there, have the $2.00 breakfast special, drink coffee, smoke cigarettes, and then head out to the jobsite.
