Looking at one of these up in Fairbanks lately.  Got about 30k on it and looks brand new.  Found out they (they have 3 of them) were rentals.  I was thinking about test-driving them and taking them by a shop up there to have them check one out.

Having driven a rental before this concerns me a little lot.  Anybody bought a rental before? If so how did your experience pan out?

Thanks in advance.

BTW I'd rather have a Tundra but last time I checked there is no pot of gold in my yard.

If you want a Tundra there are cheap ones out there just like the dodge.  Check out tundrasolutions.com and look in the classified section.  There are some dealer listings also and some are pretty cheap for newer low mileage trucks.

I appreciate it but there aren't any in AK on that forum that I could find.

buy it if the warranty for drivetrain carries over.  I have the 3/4 ton 4wd with a hemi and love it for towing a 30' camper.  It gets the same millage towing as it does just driving (but its the older model that doesn't switch to 4cyl when needed) THe 45RFE tranny is way better than the 46RE that was in the older rams with the 5.9 (had one of them too...died of tranny issues)  Change tranny oil and both filters twice a year if towing or driving alot.
