In the spirit of StormSurge's thread from last year, what are your goals?
Here are mine:
Weight:
now - 287, 46" waist
2.19.06 - 270
4.18.06(b-day) - 250
7.4.06 - 225

My ultimate goal is 225 by July 4th. Having a closet full of clothes that barely fit sucks.
Although my fitness plan for last year was a complete disaster, I'm working on a new regimen that will be implemented starting tuesday,12.27.
I will report back on the first of the month with my progress.
Good luck to all on their 2006 fitness goals!

Right now not much, drop 30 or so by summer. Once I get there I'll revise. or perhaps as I get closer to it I'll revise. I decided that waiting to get started is stupid as it gives me to much time to not do it. So I started out this past week.

This year I'm stating a goal for the record.

My goal is simply to maintain, for the whole year, the lifestyle changes I've recently implemented.

Minimum weight loss of 50 lbs, possible weight loss up to 100 lbs.

Began 2005 at 378 and now down to 345.  Most of that weight loss happened without my trying.

Good luck to all!

I’m coming to the end of my annual goal saga.

When I was 39, I set a goal to do 40 straight, military pushups on my 40th birthday.  From start to finish, nothing touches the floor except feet and fists.  Since I could already do 30-odd pushups, it wasn’t much of a problem.

I continued my new annual tradition every year except for ’92 and ’93.  I pulled my right middle deltoid tendon out of the bone in Saudi just after the air war started and was left-handed for about a year.  After lots of physical therapy I resumed in ’94.

On 1 Feb I’ll be 60.  By now I know what it takes to stay in shape get ready for the big day.  I don’t expect to have any problem, but let’s face it, this can’t go on forever.
Next year I may start working my way back down the ladder.  59 when I’m 61, 58 when I’m 62, etc.  I figure if I can do 40 pushups when I’m 80 I won’t have any complaints.

Funny thing; when I got out 8 years ago, my PT profile said “not required to do more than 15 pushups”.

My fitness goal is to go to Masters Nationals this year with my team. That's a pretty big goal considering I haven't raced on the road in three years but what the heck.

I also want to do more mountain bike races this year because my little boy is old enought to start racing and he's all jazzed up after going to several last summer.
