I recently was parusing the net for new concept cars, and stumbled across the '05 Mustang.  This concept is a bit of a throw-back to the Mach1/Boss era.  They seem to have done a good job throwing it back, yet maintaining a certaing level of creativity.  My understanding is the concept cars are not what the production models will look like, so I'm eager to see the ACTUAL '05 Mustang.  The grill looks great, but the back could have used a little more work.  Hopefully, it won't be overly expensive, and the GT will be adaquately powered (300HP).  Can't wait to test drive one.  This is the 1st time I've given serious thought to buying a Mustang.  I'll just have to wait and see.

The convertable version looks quite nice as well, though it's been roomored that it's going to loose the rollbar when it reaches production.  Too bad, cause it really steps up the look a lot.

Kinda neat, but kind of lame too.

I'm not impressed with designers nowadays. Can't they make a new, neat idea? Nope. Have to go mine the past for anything good.

Oh well. I'm sure it'll run good.

I like the looks better than any 'Stang since the early '70s.

I agree with Aimless, The headlights looks wrong for the car.  I think it would have been better if they went with square lights.  It does look tough though.  Hope it runs well.

That may be the best looking car that Ford has put out in 30 years. I hate Ford and I can tell you that I really like the looks of the new Mustang. It has the lines of the fastbacks of the late 60s and early 70s.

I think it's a Mustang. And from what I understand they decided against independant rear suspension. There is more to a car than how it looks.

I think the GT is the best looking car Ford has put out since...well...the GT40...

I like it.  Rumours are there will be a special Bullitt edition for this model as well.

However, I am sure that the stock Mustang will be overpriced, heavy and underpowered.

Nice.  Gives it a bit of the old GT500 look which I love.

I like it, but I like the C6 better.  It is indeed the best looking since Ford barfed up the Mustang II concept.  What's the MSRP.  Isn't it nearing Vette territory?  If that's the case, Vette all the way!  It really doesn't matter to me, as I'm no longer really an enthusiast to the point of purchase.  I just like looking.

Seriously, that third pick of the gun metal gray coupe is the best looking shot! Gives me images of F18's catapulting from the flight deck.

I bought a Ford 6 Mo. ago just to give them a chance. If it craps out, I'm not getting the Mustang.

I see a lot of Aston Martin in the styling of that stang.

I like the looks of it. I hope the price range stays relativly in line with what it is now though. I think they will end up killing the mustang if the price takes a sharp upturn.

I guess if you're going to plagiarize your designs, it might as well be your own.

LAME.

I couldn't agree more.  It really does have those sort of lines to it.

I think the base model is going to be priced around the very low 20's, whith the GT being in the high 20's...but that could all change when it hits the dealerships.  I'm sure they'll all jack up the price b/c it will be some new hot item, in which case, I'll defer purchase (if I decide to get one) for another year or two.  I'm not paying a couple extra grand for something b/c everyone else wants one right then as well.

Of course, I'd rather have a 'Vette, but I don't quite have the cash to spend on that, and if I did, I'm not sure that's what I'd drop the coin on.

Isn't that the old, worn-out C5? I'd take a C6.
