You only have enough money for one rifle, one handgun, and one shotgun for hunting and self-defense what do you prick?

Glock 17 Like others, I'll buy ammo instead of the shotgun. |

If the assumption is that I can only get the rifle in one caliber, i.e., i can't say AR-15 and mean every possible upper, then I'd say:
AK-74 Glock 19 Mossberg 590 |
|
|
AR15
Glock 19 and Remy 700 because you're making me. It would get rusty and not be used. Who hunts anything besides fowl with a damn shotgun anyway??? |
|
Ruger Hawkeye 30-06 , Glock 20 10mm, Remington 870 12ga
2nd choices would be bolt rifle in 35 whelen, Smith & Wesson 610 10 mm revolver ,Mossberg 500 It is so hard to stop at just 3 firearms |

What do you want to hunt? CCW? How large of a handgun will your lifestyle, clothing, environment, and build facilitate? How much money are we talking? Too many variables to answer the question w/o more info.

Rifle: AR carbine in 5.56
Handgun: Colt or Springfield 1911 in .45 Shotgun: Mini 14 |
|
|
Model 70 30-06
870 S&W Model 29 4" Oh wait. I already have those, guess I'll use the money for beer. |
|
|
Um, what I got?
AR Sig 226 590 But in reality I like my 835 for hunting. But if I could only have 1 it would be the 590. |

All of you guys that have no use for a shotgun are going to be mighty jealous when I'm dining on fresh pheasant and quail

Rifle - Pre '64 Model 70 in a big 7. Probably 7mm Super Mashburn.
Shotgun - Beretta A400 Handgun - S&W Model 29 4" I'm geared for anything I need to shoot in North America. If I could pick a 4th I would have a 6mm Rem or .243AI for smaller critters. As far as flaming for not picking an AR or Glock - I have many rounds through revolvers. I wouldn't feel undergunned with a S&W 29 and I'm 10x more likely to need to shoot animals than I am people. |
|
10.5" ar15
glock 19 and screw the shotgun, I would spend that money for plates or ammo. But, more so a hooker |
|
Ruger 10/22 .22lr.
Remington 870 12 ga. Smith & Wesson Model 66 .357 mag. |
|

Ar-15 or lever 30-30 if I am looking to stretch my budget and get a scope too
glock 19 Remington 870 (personally I'd get an older wingmaster then pick up a shorter barrel for hd duty, but a mossberg 500 would do fine too just doesn't have the soul those old guns do IMO) You could prob pickup a used but serviceable setup like above for $1000 or so, $300 for each of the long guns and 400 for the pistol. If money was really tight and I needed to I could get by with the shotgun and pistol as the shotgun would do double duty hunting/hd and the pistol would be hd/sd. |

AR10
Benelli Super Nova Sig P320. <-- kind of a cheat, I don't care |
