His seat is going to be hot enough to instantly bring water to a boil if Notre Dame loses tomorrow. But this MONSTER contract they gave him (worth 30 million), I am not sure they want him gone BAD enough to pay that kind of money to send him packing just yet.

Mark my words right now. Michigan is going to an important bowl game this year. Might not be a BCS, but it will be an important one. We will win the Big 10 this year.

And Nebraska isn't going through anything different than what LSU, USC, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, and every other major program has gone through.

as i'm beyond superstitious during college football season im not going to say anything about the Michigan game until it actually starts.

i will say that Notre Dame is highly overrated every single year.

ETA: oh and i did tear up when PSU lost to Iowa last year, but only because i wanted Paterno to make it to the national championship one more time before he retires/dies.

True, but last year was no bowl game. A meaningful bowl game would be against a top 10 team.

If Michigan keeps kicking ass though, who knows. But I really think Michigan is looking more and more like the best team in the Big 10. Penn St may be our ONLY big obstacle to going undefeated.

It's been a long dry spell for the Canes, but they do look like they're back to being a respectable team....which is good for the ACC. Some of my favorite college games ever have been VT/Canes match ups. I couldn't think of a more fitting test to see how much of a rebound the Canes have done than to have them tested in Blacksburg.

Agreed

If we can get through this month with only one loss, I believe we will be top 5 material .  Thursday nights game looked like a team of top 10 caliber.   IMHO next weeks game will decide who plays in the ACC championship game.

Don't even get my started on how BAD the Buckeyes looked against a talent depleted USC team. This USC is a joke compared to the last 8 years, and OSU couldn't even pull it off at HOME against a Freshman QB, and an offense that was TOTALLY predictable.

Watson has yet to open up the playbook and we have yet to see any real stunts, misdirections, or blitz packages on the Sun Belt teams. I'm impressed by the maturity of this team.

I live close to Tech.  They have the most RABID, irrational, and retarded fans on the face of the planet.   90% of them are pure "bandwagon" jumpers as about 10-11 years ago...you could hear crickets in Lane Stadium.  To listen to them..."EVERY YEAR" they are in contention for a national championship.  In their defense...they do have a great defensive coach and good special teams, but that's about it.  With the exception of Michael Vick, their offenses has always sputtered and their defense is the only thing that keeps them in many games.

Going against conventional wisdom and say the Huskers win by ten. I think Helu and Suh have big games. Huskers are also very balanced. If they can shut down Tyrod they can win and Pelini has probably been scheming this all week.
