Yep, I remember seeing this show on black and white tv back while in grade school. I bought the 6 dvd set. Charlton Heston did great as Taylor. I was really young (6 or 7 yrs old) at the time, and didnt understand what the statue was, but remember my Mom and Dad both saying, "Oh my god!"
I wonder what we would replace our pet dogs, and cats with if a virus epodemic would kill them all?
I dont have a satelite dish on the farm, but saw on a friends cable tv on the sci-fi channel a new  Planet of the apes...  Oh well, some day I will get a satelite dish.

I am just recalling memories of the past with an old tv show
