Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 1911 owners, I need help

Hi all

I am thinking about getting a 22lr conversion for my 1911.  I have seen the ciener ones and i have heard that the guy isnt a pleasure to deal with, but his products work.  Are they any good? Are there other makers of 1911 conversion kits?

I don't yet have one of these but I've talked to them on the phone...very pleasant to deal with, and I've heard nothing but great things about the conversion unit so far.  One plus:  the sight rib is mated to the bbl. thus regardless of slide fit, accuracy should be and apparently is extremely good.
