The posters at 1911.com have earned my “gratitude”.

I recently aquired a 1918 mfg. original Colt’s 1911 US Property pistol in un-altered original, with the original bone/coal process finish in 90% cond.

I needed this pistol in case I drop XM! (but, I am not a RSVA regular, so I doubt it will!)

I have an issue with stock screws and bushings on my chopper, and have ordered the correct parts and taps from Brownells with the guidence from dsk, a knowledgeable poster on that forum.

FWIW, that board is an excellent source of needed information to anyone who has a 1911…(Just in case they drop their AR!)
