Alright, so another board i'm on has an individual selling a springfield 1911a1 for 600 in cherry condition with low round count.

I know that's a good price, but how good of a price? I've never owned a 1911 and want one, but the prices i see for the springfield 1911a1 are all over the place.

Buy a glock.

On a more serious note... It depends on the model.

I'd offer $500-550 other wise spend $600 and get a NIB Springfield.

I don't know, if the GI was in like new condition, I would probably buy it. GI's are impossible to find around here and every store I check says it is the most allocated gun Springfield makes.

I want one pretty bad.
