And yet...what percentage will be reelected based on historical trends?  80?

That means that 83% should be voted out, but, of course, that won't happen.

Every one of them needs to go.

What is the opinion of their reps

Congress as a body not being popular is as old as the republic itself.

guess that means that no more than 17 will actually get voted out.

I will offer up Representative Ander Crenshaw and Senator Marco Rubio.

Two worthless piles of human flesh. Get em out of here.

My Representative is a right minded man. One of my Senators isn't fit to be a greeter at WalMart. The other is OK about 80% of the time, except for the gun control legislation he involved himself in. Don't know how I can vote for him again.

Yep.  Stupid statistic.  Made even more stupid by the fact that you could get rid of every sitting member of Congress and the people who replaced them voted in by those same voting blocs would ensure little to nothing would change.  The politicians aren't the problem -- they're a symptom of it.

When surveyed, people tend to have a low opinion of Congress as a whole. Yet when asked about their congressman, people tend to support him. That's why a very high percentage of congressmen get re-elected time after time. This is a direct result of single-member districts, where the representative fits sentiments of the local constituents rather than the sentiments of the national population.

They think OTHER congressmen should be voted out, they will reelect theirs.

They deserve imprisonment.  All 535 of them.

Their votes have already built 1/2 the electronic prison walls for all of us.

Actually, I would be quite happy to see both of my "representatives" get kicked the fuck out.

95+, as I recall.  Everyone bitches about Congress, but THEIR congressman is a special snowflake.  I'm the exception that proves the rule:  My rep is a special POS.  Should be gone RFN.  Same for both Senators.
