No doubt.

I find it interesting that most of the workers were recovering drug addicts.

Its all the predecessor's fault.

"I have a great respect for former president
Fox," Calderon said. "But I think he made a lot of mistakes on this
issue. Perhaps the most important was not acting in time on this.

"I think that if Mexico had started to fight
against this problem 10 years ago, we would be talking about something
completely different now."

yup, sounds like someone stole the Obama play book.

MEXICO CITY—In the latest incident of drug-related violence to hit
the country, all 111 million citizens of Mexico were killed Monday
during a shoot-out between rival drug cartels.

According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the violence
was sparked by a botched drug deal involving an estimated 20 kilograms
of marijuana, a dispute that led low-level members of the Sinaloa cartel
to open fire on local dealers in Culiacán. Within seconds, the gunfire
had spread to Chihuahua, Michoacán, Yucatán, and, minutes later, the
other 27 Mexican states, leaving every person in Mexico dead.

If someone told me I had a choice between going to Afghanistan or Mexico, I'd be leaning toward Afghanistan right about now.

If we are not going to legalize drugs and end this bullshit, then perhaps we should turn over our convicted drug criminals to the Mexicans for proper punishment.

With the key being no screwy ROE. Unfortunately if we ever deployed them they would be assigned to "Rehabilitate" them, house them, feed them and then release them into the United States anyways once they are "fixed".

Legalizing alcohol didn't get rid of the mob, they just found other illegal trades to get into.

Sure, but they were never the same, and never so large and powerful as in the prohibition era.

I still know tons of dipshit liberals who say that I'm racist for wanting to strengthen our border control.  When I point to stuff like this, they say "What does something in Mexico have to do with how we behave here?"

I wish people that encourage the harm visited on us could be the ones to absorb it.  But if that ever happened, we wouldn't have liberals.

Fixed

IMHO its well past time for us to open a can of whoops ass on the cartels

Mexico needs to come pleading to us to go in and fuck the  cartels up.

Or we should just do it anyway

I wonder when Mexicans will come here for political asylum because they live under de facto rule by drug lords and fear persecution.

Me too. They shot up a rehab clinic a month or two ago.

Wonder what the reasoning is behind this?

"YOU WILL NOT QUIT USING OUR FINE PRODUCTS!!!"

or were some of these guys in debt to the cartels?

Rival cartels shooting one another, battling it out with cops or the MX army or settling debts all make sense.

But WTF about killing a bunch of recovering addicts?

I do know the cartels use car washes as lookout and rendezvous locations. This particular car wash could be just a front for laundering money too. The fact that the guys working there had ties to drug dealers is not surprising.

Assigning some proper responsibility isn't exactly the same thing. Allowing the cartels to gain strength and run rampant because Fox chose to ignore them and didn't want to deploy the Mexican armed forces against them is simply speaking the truth.
