As a guy who knows very little about modern artillery, I was pretty damn impressed.

They talk about push-button war, computer stuff. Bullshit, that was a demonstration of a lot of fucking work to get those things firing with that kind of ROF.

One question: who's aiming that thing? I see a lot of humping and loading and the obvious stuff, but which guy is making sure the rounds are going on target?

around the 4 minute mark, you'll see the the Gunner looking thru the "pantel" (panaromic telescope), then the Chief of Section check it. The FDC (fire direction center) sends the quadrant and deflection to the gun line, in mils, and the gunner inputs those numbers into the pantel, levels his bubbles, and aligns his crosshairs on either aiming posts or a collimator.

I love for the SF guys try so hard to ignore the camera. At like 8:30 you can see them stop, and I bet the driver radioed to the back to try and avoid looking at the camera, but maintaining stoic warrior stance.

Great find. I also loved the guy at the beginning who walked past the camera going "durka durka durrr"

I have no idea, being a Red Leg on the Gun Line is back breaking work. I'm sure that some bull dyke could hack it, but your average american princess, not so much.

But knowing todays military, they will probably be assigned some job off the gun line, and rapidly promoted.
