I wish we would either make PR a state or cut them loose.

What benefit do we derive with the status quo?

If PR became a state,  it would be mostly a bunch of filthy stinking democrats.  You do realize that, right?

It would not help the balance of power.

Um, right!

<––- Puertorican AND registered Republican.

And why do WE have to be "Filthy"?

However, I do agree, either Puerto Rico becomes a state or its left loose and given independence - we all know what's gonna happen, most of the Puertoricans with money and influence will move to the US and the rest who cannot do so will stay put and the island will end up as another Banana Republic thrown by the wayside of history.

Isla De Cabra is a range complex used by police as a firing range; however, someone had the great idea of keeping weapons in there, instead of keeping theminside armories in police stations or in Police HQ - Jeez! That was flawless planning.

Just some questions:
Do you claim to be Puerto Rican or American?
If you believe it will spiral in to a shithole, then why not let social Darwinism do its thing?
If it was such a great place it would have already gone for independence from the US.

1) I am an American - that was born in Puerto Rico; born to Puertorican parents. Earned my citizenship by birthright (since Puerto Rico is still a US territory); the same way John McCain earned his by virtue of being born in a US military base in the Panama Canal Zone (therefore US Soil).

2) I am allowing Social Darwinism to take its course. I am living here in the US, am I?

3) It would; but then again, it has not yet. Maybe because some people don't feel that the island is ready for self-rule. Others may think so, but I know for a fact that without the millions is US aid the island get, the country will go to Hell in a handbasket. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Of course, is not as easy as just let them go and be done with it.

The guns weren't stolen, the name of the island tells the tale. In years gone by, when the Spanish had only just come to the islands, the true name of the island was known. it is not the island of goats, it is really named Isla De Chupacabra. Somewhere along the line part of the name got lost. Now we will know, and when the Chupacabra comes, it will be well armed.

You just talked to No-Bark in Fallout: New Vegas...didn't you?

Good to know that I'm not the only one that thinks this way. I know for a fact things are bad in PR and not getting any better; PR is not what it once was when i was growing up.
