This thread brings back memories, I used to live in Charlestown, each day I crossed the Longfellow bridge to work in Boston, the high point of my daily commute was gazing at the USS Constitution berthed below.

I remember watching my grandpa build a wooden ship model in his basement in the mid 70's. That thing was 4 feet long and almost as tall at the center mast! He even built a steam box to bend the wood planking.

The copper tape looks really good! I wonder if it will tarnish over time? That would make it look even better as the model ages.
