I use it to beat other less connected people into submission when they start claiming X has more energy than Y at such and such distance. Besides, it makes pretty pictures.

I enjoy 3d gun disassembly...kinda fun (Free) app that comes with interactive disassembly diagrams for G17, 1911, sig 229, and a few others...neat little app.

bullet flight. best in the business, but it will cost you a pretty penny, i think its like 30$ but it is what everyone in iraq and afganistan is using

I could carry around a stack of paper ballistic charts instead, but what's the point when my iphone is already in my pocket anyway? |

Or is it provided free with a rifle sold to the services from KAC? It's an excellent app, to be sure. Just wondering there might be additional reasons it is so popular in the military crowd. |

I have BulletFlight and Ballistics FTE and I like both. I think BulletFlight is the easier, more simple to use app and that goes a long way. I like some of the other features of Ballistics though when it's target shooting.

Bulletflight and Ballistic are both good. I've heard some claim Ballistic FTE provides more accurate dope, but I've gotten great results from Bulletflight by using temp and station pressure instead of altitude.
