I think it's incredibly stupid that there is any age limit on anything. Perhaps at certain ages and with with certain items a parent should sign a paper before the kid can have the item, but above an age somewhere between 16 and 18, I think anyone should be able to buy anything. After all, 18-year-olds are old enough to die for their country. They certainly should be old enough to buy a handgun or alcohol.
And it kind of makes me angry that I can buy an AR-15, but I can't buy a handgun. I guess people between the ages of 18 and 21 can't be trusted, so you have to make sure the person has a large gun so he can't hide it well, but once you turn 21, you're suddenly a good person who can be trusted not to use a gun in a crime.
And how come you have to be 18 to get things like magazines? They're harmless by themselves. You need a GUN to use them, and you've already proven you're 18 by purchasing that gun.
Or take alcohol. If a parent is with a kid at home, that kid is allowed to drink alcohol. But if a parent is with a kid at a resturaunt, the kid is not allowed to drink alcohol.
I hate those anal orifices that make laws.
Thank goodness I'm going to turn 21 somewhat soon, at which time I won't have to worry about the laws. Once that day comes I'm buying a handgun and getting a tequila.
