We've had discussions on zombies, werewolves, vampires and a bunch of others I don't remember.
Not knowing a whole lot about the Grinch's physical composition or his speed/activities, besides the fact he attempted a shameless hijacking of Christmas, I don't know what I need to use to put him down if he comes my way.

Would 20 mike mike be overkill?

Probably not, but I haven't seen that in the gunstore lately.

I think my 10mm would work just fine and a .22 for the dog.I wonder what smoked Grinch tastes like???

I've, got a .375H&H mag Grinch killer. It will also work for you. Least ways I think it will.[:D]

Well then, flechettes would be cool.

My personal favorite for grinch season is a short 12 gauge side by side.  You can't save the pelt, but who cares?

(WHO cares...get it?)

The gun from HEAT would work.

If you remember from the story, the Grinch's heart was 3 sizes too small before he found the meaning of Christmas.  Therefore, you would need something pretty large to the center mass to find it.

My vote would be an RPG to the chest.

The grinch is a little fufu man so I vote for the weakest of weak rounds the 6mm Flobert rimfire.

I'd gut shoot the bastard with a 22.

If I was at the base of the mountain I would take a 308 with a scope mounted and when he came out, BLAM!!  If he came into the house or the hood I would take an AR15 or a because of his quickness maybe an Uzi.

If memory serves, the Grinch is shaped sort of like a bud vase - extremely narrow chest and protuberant belly. This means that a COM shot is actually going to quite low - maybe even a gut shot. It raises an interesting scenario, since, other than the spinal cord (which is behing a couple of feet of Grinch guts, there are no "high value" organs at COM. Makes it pretty iffy. I seem to recall that his head is pretty huge, though. I'm thinking a .50 cal sabot slug from a 12 ga, just where the bulbous gut joins the pencil chest.

In close, my Kimber, then my Bushy, and if he is further out, a Remington 788 in .308. But then again, I have seen how some of the members here shoot, so Id just let the more qualified people take care of him.

By definition, isn't he a terrorist?[>:/]

Have you seen how fast he is or how foul his breath and odor are?  I think most "normal" bullets would be too slow to get him, mainly because even a bullet travelling at 3500fps would vear off as to not make contact with das un Grinchenhausen.

Therefore, I think a 50 SLAP round is necessary.

For those of you who don't know, SLAP is:

US Military Designation: M903/M962 (Tracer). The Calibre .50 SLAP and .50 SLAP-Tracer ammunition utilizes advanced saboted tungsten-alloy penetrator technology to deliver superior and proven performance against lightly armoured vehicles and armoured attack helicopters at ranges up to 1500 meters.

The FPS on a 168gr bullet is roughly 5300, which would mean the bullet wouldn't have a second to smell the Grinch then think about vearing off course to nail Max instead.

My answer is thus - 50 SLAP.
