It would be like a heavily armed Sea Shepheard.
We can Escort for a fee, or we can place a small armed squad on the ship when it is in passage throught dangerous waters...or both. I figure the top of one of the control towers on the large ships would make a good gun platform. I have been debating armaments. GAU-19A a 3 barrel 50cal gatling gun. MK-19 40mm grenade launcher AT-4 or SMAW-D M240 Assorted small arms I think a javelin would work great at sea as well.. fire and forget thermal either direct attack or top down with a range of 2500m..that would bring some serious man portable firepower to the table. |

Arrrrr, can ye smell it
"Repel borders to starboard" Letter of Marque, me matey's |

With the number of tragic boating accidents around here, we'll need to outsource the Captain's job.
I'm in if someone else drives! |

I would prefer having something in 30mm around.
I would like to have a 105mm as well and want something for air defense. Your list would be otherwise pretty good. |

Have your own so you can protect the ship your escorting , just like blackwater is doing, that way you can go out and head off any approcahing ships and take the fight to them rather than sitting on a ship waiting for them to throw rpgs at your client. see what im saying?? |

I would voulenteer some time on leave to participate in the ARF Anti-Pirate Fleet Activities.

I think what is going to happen is one dominant pirate is going to take the move to move "legit" and provide escort service so that he can kill off his competition and move from an illegal operation to a legal operation.
Once one of them gets armed well enough to afford some decent equipment they will take the initiative and work to kill off the competition. |

I'm in but what Knife is easier on my teeth for when I have to climb up to the Crows Nest ?

Q: Will we get to keep the booty from the pirate's ships? (Not what THEY have stolen, their guns man......their guns)
|

Just have an ARFCOM cruise. You know, like Rosie O-Donnel's gay family cruise but with less lesbians and more guns. Then, purposefully sail into "pirate-infested" waters off the horn of Africa and let nature take its course...

I'm in. All I have is a .380, 9mm, and .22lr rifle. I'm handy on the 9mm, but I could easily trade either of those in and the .22lr for a nice AK or an SKS.

Honest, Barack! I lost all my guns in a tragic pirate hunting accident!
|

Arfcom pirate hunters, sounds like fun. Just one question, How much armament can you fit on a 16 foot pontoon boat?

I'm out being out in open waters for extended periods of time make me real sea sick. I can last a lot longer than most people, but I wouldn't be in 'fighting shape'.
Besides I can't see us looking any better than a bunch of Hadjis, unless we get some SERIOUS cash backings... Better off leaving it to Blackwater. |

Any country who has been a victim of piracy can grant us a ship , supplies , and a letter of marque AND REPRISAL the part in red is what grants authority to go offensive . Fuck waiting for them to try and board us , search and destroy FTMFW . I had a commercial licence for the St. Lawrence seaway when I was younger , but it was for a boat much smaller than a damn tanker. I'de be perfectly comfortable in an engine room or at the navigation panel . Remmember , a computerized map with a bullet hole is a paperwieght , a chart with a bullet hole is still a chart.

How about one of these that's slated for decommission: http://images.military.com/EQGpics/EQG_VSComDD_1.jpg Too late. They're all decommissioned. Besides, they are too expensive to operate. My bet is that most here would spend 90% of their time upchucking their lunch, 9% of their time bored as hell, and 1% of the time shitting their shorts. |
