I used to run into dust devils when I lived in ID and OR. Never got airborne but the breeze was nice when I was working out in the desert.  ETA: Met a guy once who woke up spinning around inside a tornado. He landed in a farm pond. Tornado killed his parents, wife and two kids.

Theres a new extreme sport. Tornado BASE jumping. You purposely get sucked into the tornado to get ejected and parachute down. Probably a low chance of survival though. That would be one viral video though. |

that would be crazy you wake up into that situation and probably have to be thinking "well I'm dead". Then when it's over and you're not. |
