I call BS. I was at a wake tonight for a friend who died suddenly. Somebody at the wake said "time heals all wounds, you'll be fine", to the sixteen year old daughter of the person who passed away. I could not believe what I heard. I just think it was in poor taste. Some people are just better off not saying anything.

The statement should be "Time heals all wounds, but a scar will always remain"

Neither statement is appropriate for a funeral or a wake.  Some people just do not know what to say in these situations, they mean well though.
