I heard that Benelli will be raising the prices on the Stoeger shotguns early in 2004.  If so, it would seem that a Stoeger might be a good investment.

Do any of you have a Stoeger?  If so, what do you think?

They are fine shotguns for $400.  The Condor Supreme I owned is in the hands of a good friend.  He uses it almost weekly for farm work carry, and occasional sporting clays trips.

This was an entry level gun to see if I liked the sport of clays shooting.  I did.

I moved up to a more finely finished and crafted Beretta O/U.

Investment grade?  Nope.  Marginal return at best IMHO.

They do work and they work well in the O/U configuration.  They are NOT pretty.

I think the junior craftsmen at the plant do the checkering and wood finish work.

YMMV.....my experiences were good.  Jack's contiuning experience with my gun are good.

I've got one.  The Condor Supreme O/U in 20 guage.  Very nice fit and finish, cost was reasonable, and i really like the balance.  Screw in choke tubes make it versatile. I took it to the Trap range to wring it out and got better scores than with my twelve guage auto-loader! Go figure.  I can't wait to try it at sporting clays.

As for future value, apreciation/depreciation, Who knows.  But one thing's for sure i gonna hold onto this one for a while!

What country are those shotguns made? If they have had financial crisis, such as the value of the currency being devalued, it would probably be true. Remember though, Baretta owns Benilli now and HK does not do the USA distributing anymore, that is why you see their new address in Maryland.
