Was approached by another Soldier in my unit about  buying a firearm from him. He tells me he has a .22cal pistol and 500 rounds of ammo. Doesn't know much about gun and needed the cash on the spot and would bring the gun to work later that night. Wants $25 for everything. Told him sure, I needed extra .22 for my daughters gun. Well he brings me a new box of ammo and a Jennings firearms J-22. I goggled the name, I'm not the brightest crayon in the box when it comes to computers, and only came up with gunbroker, guns America, and Wikipedia pages. Anyone know anything about these firearms or any manuals. This pistol looks cheap. Thanks

I would buy it for 25 bucks just for shits n giggles, but would never recommend that ANYONE use it defend their life with.

The ammo is worth more than the gun.

The .22 ammo is worth $25. Buy it and throw the gun away. Or keep it for a "throw down" in case you ever gotta shoot someone.

Gun values

For $25 i'd jump on it.

Might wish to have the serial # run by the police first.

Good buy its only 25 bucks. When they break they go full auto. And that is the only time I have seen it cycle a full mag with out breaking. DO NOT DRY FIRE IT, it will peen the chamber. Always have it pointed in a safe direction when you drop the slide. The one example I have played with would shoot randomly when you chambered a round. I played with it on day and put it away. That first shot always goes bang.

Kid at work had the 380 version, and it works perfectly

Keep the Jennings for one of those no-questions-asked gun "buybacks." You might get a gift certificate, and then the ammo would be virtually free.

Jennings/Bryco became Jimenez Arms

This is the "manual" for their version, which looks identical to the Jennings

The pistol is worthless, but the deal's worth it for the ammo alone.

The gun is not the number one pick of gun snobs, but if it shoots then have a ball.  The ammo alone is worth what ya paid for it.
