Heard a blurb on the news this morning that Robert Ballard, the guy who found the Titanic, Bismark, etc., has been looking for and found the wreck of the P.T. 109.  Didn't get to hear all of it, but did hear that it was found in Blackett Straight.  Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I read a short article in our local newspaper (Alabama edition of Pravda) that the remains he found were just the metal parts - engines being the biggest parts.  All the wood has eaten away.  Before the expedition, Ballard got permission from Ted & Caroline Kennedy and gave the promise not to disturb the site.  The article mentioned that two crewmen were killed in the collision while JFK lead 10 survivors to eventual rescue.

Got permission from the Kennedy's.  Glad he got a "Royal" warrant!

Not to cause a "stink" but didn't Kennedy actually screw up and get the boat sunk?
