I see Iraq as a victory for freedom over tyrrany, but I still don't see the immediate terrorism connection there.

I definitely see the longer-term value in stabilizing the region by knocking off Saddam, but I'm not yet convinced we've accomplished that stabilization.  It could still blow up in our face if the head shia ayotolla (Ali al Sistani) decides he wants a fundementalist muslim state in Iraq.  If that happens, all we'll have accomplished will be to replace a secular muslim dictatorship with a religious muslim dictatorship.
