I admit it. I was stupid when I was young and used CC's improperly. I've been dealing wit the debt for more years than I care to mention. I just pressed "pay" to finally be free and clear! Fuck yeah, bitches!

We just paid our last credit cards off last week. 5 months ago we were over $14,000 deep. Cars paid off, housing is part of my salary package. We owe no man anything!

First time in almost 20 years.

...On a serious note, it is a great feeling to pay those cards off.

I was 20 years old, got a credit card with a $7000 limit and blew through it rather quickly, took me a while to pay it off but it felt so good when I did.

I think by doing that at a young age it scared me straight to the dangers of ignorant credit card use.

We polished off the last of $18k in credit card debt in December and now just have a private student loan left that will die in April. After that I plan for the mortgage to fall inside of 5 years. THEN we'll be looking at some true freedom.
I also spent years doing stupid.

My salary is almost $100K

Only 190 lbs...

The closest thing to "Engineer" was that I got to ride in the cab of a train once...

I started making $100k+ a year after I finally wised-up, retired, and went into business for myself.

My wife was a slut (to me anyway, that's how she reeled me in 24 years ago)

I racked up about 21 grand and it took me quite a while to pay off. I finally paid it off about a year ago and it feels great. I try to not use credit cards for anything now, just cash.

Even if you pay your cards off every month, the cc companies still get fees from the people you do business with. I don't even want to give the cc companies that, so I pay everything with cash.

Enjoy your freedom and make your next paycheck to into a savings account, not a new celebratory done with debt toy.
