I am still alive and kicking. I have been away from the site for a little while after finally getting my carbine back.
I hate to admit it, but I have been on another site getting hooked on C&R rifles. A "new" mauser is in my future. My C&R license is also coming.
I will try to make a local shoot after the dust settles after January if I can bring a Mauser. The AR15 I plan on building is on hold for a short time, at least until after I finally get my Garand from CMP.

Well hell, if you bring the Mauser to the next shoot, then I'll be forced to bring out my Mosin M44

BTW you just missed the Hun Farm shoot this past weekend.

I just read about it- sorry I missed out.
If you bring the M44 I will be forced to buy that AK47 for $289.00 or the SKS for $189.00, and I really want the 98k for $109.00 first.
I sent my C&R app. Christmas eve. so I am guessing it will be back by the end of Jan., I hope.
Wouldn't you just know that after sending it I found 2 Swedes for $160.00 and the AK.
I made a promise that I would wait for the C&R to avoid the transfer fee from my FFL, so I better stop shopping.
