+$170 added from money (cash) received by mail (details on page 11)----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am going to start this effort because, despite CavArms' owner (being the stoic and stubborn friend of this website and ALL gun owners,) not wanting to inconvenience us,we all know he will need help with the legal bills that are piling up. If you agree we need to send a message that these raids need to stop violations of the 4th amendment to our Constitution, please help: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." (underline mine) I do not think "seize everything" for "alleged firearms violations" is enough to satisfy the requirements in the spirit of the amendment (I am not a lawyer, but I can tell BS when I see it) SHORT RANT: Removing all firearm inventory from a company engaged in the manufacture and sale of firearms, deprives them of the very means to generate cash for their legal defence and for feeding their families. How the F, is a company going to pay employees, creditors, mortgage, etc if the gov removes/confiscates all their product while the agency takes it's sweet time proving or disproving the allegations under which -presumptively- their case "required" the confiscation? The only difference between us and a totalitarian government, seems to be that we are under the delusion of being free! Please, help in what you can, if not because it is the RIGHT thing to do, then because tomorrow it might be me..........or you! We are still cash strapped. But we formally authorize Striker at his discretion, to share the Molon Labe Cheescake recipe with anyone who donates. Let them eat cake!
I will be sending a $25 check to you Ed for the legal defense fund. Do I just make it out to you? It will go out today or tomorrow. I would send more, but we is poor country folk
My next purchase will be a Cav lower.
They are hanging us one at a time! - Stick together! Ed, permission to quote you for my sigline? |
no problem |
this sucks, I tell you man, when they set their sights on you it is not good, and even when innocent you can easily be ruined
we gotta stand by this guy |
I guess I should have read this thread before I checked my e-mails..
I'm going to keep tabs in an excel file using your arfcom screen name if I can figure out who is who. If you can, please include your screen name with your donation. I'll forward it once a week for how ever long this runs to Edsr & Juan so 3 of us will have a running total. |
Mine's not hard to figure out is it? |
Nope. I had to upgrade my paypal account to a premier account because a personal one limits you to $650 in transactions a month. We're gonna pass that in minutes! Just a reminder too folks..if you use a credit or debit card PayPal charges $2.75 for the transaction or as near as I can tell they do. If someone more paypal savy can explain it better..please do. |
If your account is in Canada, do you have extra fees being removed as well? You are correct that Credit Cards will have fees with a personal account but with a premium account they take fees for everything. Still, I like the use of antigun PayPal to help pay legal bills for a gun manufacturer. I just hope those asshats at PayPal don't lock your account when they try to figure out WTF is going on with your account Fees here: www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside&nav=1.0.4 |
George: They charge 3.9% |
This transcends AR15.com i think we need to unite all the gun boards on this, put aside our differences and unite to fight this one, if any one has influence on other boards please help push this.
I believe the "lower" buy has been mentioned over on the High Road. If this particular thread has not been linked, I'll see if I can get it up without getting it locked. |
Sending it paypal, but have to wait 2 to 4 days for a "Expanded Use number".
Not that I'm aware off. It showed a -$2.75 for the two credit/debit payments I received. that's it. Total as of right now..$1170! You folks never stop amazing me. Arfcommers..putting the faith back in humanity! |
It will be a few, I forgot my password, and I'ts going to be e-mailed to me.
There are over 9000 people on here right now. If only half sent $10, that would bring us close to $50,000. Lets do this people.
If a non-Team member will buy a Team Membership today, I'll donate $50.00 in your name. (I have to limit this offer to one person). Just quote this post and reply, first come-first served.
I went into the shop and bought a flashlight and accessories.
I'd love to contribute about $350.00. However before I do so I would like to know what they are being accused of. Anyone know?
I'll get in on this. Thank you. Also will put a check in the mail to Ed for Cav Arms. ETA: Couldn't get anyone to bite, so $40 sent via BillPay to Ed Sr. |
NOTHING! Hard to believe this can happen like this, but there are NO CHARGES against anyone. |
One of the news clips on youtube was ATF special agent Tom Mangan, who stated "We alledge federal firearms violations at this business." That's all I know. ATF Special Agent Tom Mangan interview |
Well it's not uncommon to leave with no arrests being made if they plan to complete arrest warrants. Anytime a search warrant is executed they are required to leave a page of the warrant that describes what was being searched for. I'd like to know what's on that page. |
We are all eager to find out.....including CavArms If you -or anyone else- can legally find out, we would all be greatful |
Does the ATF issue press releases? Most LE agencies are required to disseminate certain info about thier cases. Maybe someone could call the ATF and ask. |
Edit: Strat81, just sent the $50.00. |
Am I the only one who thinks this needs to be our line in the sand?
Perhaps time for another DOI? Will paypal what I can insofar as cash next friday on Fed Payday for the cause because i'm too broke to buy a lower. Thanks for setting this up Ed and site staff. |
I hope that the inherently broke college students of the board will join with me and send whatever you can. It is ok to send $10, 15, 20 bucks. Whatever you can spare. Lord knows I do not have much, but know that your not alone in sending less than the others.
Got $2 left over this week? $5 next? Drop it in an envelope. |
One dollar here and $5 there soon add up. There is strength in numbers....and we have a lot of good people wanting to help with whatever little or however much they can God bless you all |
Can we send donations through the arfcom store? I need to renew my team membership anyway.
Or perhaps a special "Cav-Aid" membership option, which would cost more, but have the extra funds going to CavArms? |
I like this option for $50 extra on your membership you get a bonus Cav arms picture for your avatar. NoKarma |
How about a separate contribution to fund raffle prizes?
That might help this thing get legs beyond this site. |
