I didn't know this man, but I've interacted with him on multiple occasions. He was never anything but gracious. And his last act was buying food for a kid in the ghetto.

I missed being the one to transport him to the hospital by a couple minutes. My mentor, who is one of the few people in this town who I would feels safe working on my family, got the call. He was awarded "Paramedic of the Year" because of, in part, his actions on this call. That brings me some comfort, knowing he had the best care available.

Anyway, I'll be heading over.

I remember hearing about that. I am glad to see that McDonalds doing that. RIP Officer.
