My best memory though was 3 weeks in...once I was finally able to take a shit.  I'm on the can and they call a fire drill.  I come running out, pants unbuttoned, no belt, no blouse and no cover.  My DI looks at me, tells me to report to CQ "as is".  As I'm walking to CQ like this, the other DI's in the squadron just stopped and stared.  I figure they assumed that I was so ate up I had to have a purpose.

Ha ha ha ha... It's so funny that all the names come back like it was yesterday.

Fort Sill Oklahoma June 1997 B Battery 1st Bn 79th FA

Senior DS SFC Russell
SSG Barker
SSG Lemons
SSG Jordan - CRAZY Mo-Fo who used to tell us stories about killing a pregnant woman who ran his line in Panama. Bragged about how it was one shot, two kills. He also encouraged us young privates to screw a woman with no legs because you could just set her up there and spin. I'll never forget that guy.

Then June 1998 D Battery 1/22nd for AIT 13B. I was NG, so it was a split op instead of OSUT. Our AIT Drills were all 95th BN USAR, so the only consistent drill we had was SSG Estep, who was there the whole time.

SGT Elder was the biggest, meanest, sadistic SOB to ever step foot on PI.  We loved SSGT Delarino because he always saved us.

Our Series GYSGT Emmsminger almost ran over me on Okinawa a year or so later.  He pulled over and yelled, "Fuggit, you're still one stupid SOB aren't you."  Except this time he was smiling.  Stilled scared me.

ETA-The OP said Drill Instructors.  He didn't mention anything about Doggies posting in this thread.
