Unlike gene5's thread (here), I'll post pics

Sig Sauer P556 SWAT

It comes with a dinky red dot sight, but I think I'll end up putting a green laser on it.

Won't get a chance to try it for a few days.

That would be nice to carry around when we're running the hog traps.

While that would kick ass, SBR isn't allowed in Iowa.

According to their website, the weight without the magazine is 6.7 pounds.

(6 pounds, 11.2 ounces)

While at the gun show, I picked up some Troy sights and rail guards from ApexODT.  www.apexodt.com
One of AR15.COM's dealers.

I removed the factory front sight, and just got everything installed.

I already like it a lot better.

Is it sold as a rifle or a pistol?

I'm slow - I see it's a pistol now!

Well,  it is fixed, and sticks up higher than the Troy when folded flat.

EDIT:  Correction, the factory front sight is adjustable for windage, but it does not fold down.

The rear factory sight is a joke, so the gun was begging for a new rear sight.

I suspect the factory front sight is not compatible with a Troy rear.  Maybe it is, but why not do it right?

Plus, the factory front sight would likely interfere with the use of a laser, which I think I'm going to install.
