So...who's arbitrarily raising prices on November 5th and who's not?

Attention consumer. To review the claims made against a vendor in the "Raised Prices On Nov. 5th" list, simply click on their name. You must draw your own conclusions as to whether or not the claims against a vendor constitute an arbitrary price increase/attempt at a fast buck.

If you are providing information on a "gouger", please make your claims as detailed as possible. Links would be great.

If you are nominating a Good Guy, simply post their name and web address. Good Guys are those who did not arbitrarily raise their prices on November 5th due to election hype.

Any questions, please ask.

Holy shit!  I was just about to submit a $500 order for chest mag rigs, gun bags and ammo.  I'm glad I saw that before giving them my cash.

The free market also dictates that people can take their dollars elsewhere.

(no dog in this fight but it works both ways... )

It's all good! I'm a down home Capitalist boy, myself.

I'm starting this thread to help others like me make informed buying decisions in a free market economy.

Just gathering information with which to vote with our wallets.

No shit.

Everybody loves capitalism until they see somebody actually try and make a profit.

Then they wonder how they got a socialist President. But don't worry, Obama will take all their gains and redistribute it to poor folks.

No, you are staring a black list.

If you were trying to help the consumer you'd be here with a link to the guy with the best prices. I recommend CDNN, good folks, good prices.

Oh give a rest already.  I don't see any windfall taxes being proposed here or state AGs being called.  But when you own website tells people with glee that you are bringing them savings of -51% then some laughing at you may be in order.

To all the free market champions...

Nobody (that I have heard) is saying what they are doing should be illegal or regulated.  So lay off the rhetoric.  They made a choice, and now we get to make a choice with our wallets.  Calm down, we all still love capitalism.  Jeesh

price gouging: pricing above the market price when no alternative retailer is available
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/price%20gouging

Noone is advocating having the government force them to lower their prices.  But, the fact that they've increased prices of a lot of items by over 50% is a dick move.  As consumers in a free country, we're well within our rights to keep track of these types of things and avoid retailers who do them

ETA: if you don't have a problem with it, feel free to pay $40 for something from CTD that you could buy at midway for $25.

Just trying to be positive.

If a person is selling Glock mags for $40, that sorta corrects itself.

You wanna make things better, send the people to the right place.

CDNN has G17 mags for $21.99 or $12.99 used.

I do want to make things better. I can't possibly keep track of all of the vendors who are not "gouging".

We can, however, let people know who to avoid. That list will be substantially smaller. Hell: I'm not even saying to avoid these vendors. I'm just giving people a thread to make their own informed decisions, per the links that I'll update in the OP.

If anyone wants to list people in this thread who have good pricing the, by all means, list them.

After a hi-cap ban we will be PRAYING for the days when mags costed $40.

I bought a pre-ban Glock mag for $72 before 2004.  Thought it was a pretty good deal at the time.  I didn't even get pissed when the ban expired and I could buy 10 more for $12.99 apiece.

I purchased 4 Aluminum G3 Mags for $40 EACH (in the darkest days of the ban)!  Last year, they were $3 a pop...

If the AWB sunset clause was struck, I would have thought I was a genius for finding them.  All decisions have a degree of risk.

Some arfcommers don't understand supply and demand, even though they loved it when trucks & SUVs got really cheap over the last two years.

In before the apologists.

OH WAIT

Either way, by doing this and giving a big "fuck you", we are forcing them to lower their prices. We as buyers are telling them that their products are too expensive by avoiding what is in demand. Yeah, there is demand for a given product, at that price? no. Here is where you will see a place like C-products make a killing- as they have promised their base that they will NOT fuck them in the ass, the demand is going to go insane, though they will have backorders, they will have a steady supply of customers, and will most likely reach the 'brand insistence" stage of brand loyalty.

If you want to do something useful, do something like the Ammo List - link to the best pricing currently available for groups of products.

This. I saw 44Mag's sale in the EE. It was on the up and up. In fact, he did the community quite the solid by holding the sale when he did.

Don't want consumers to bitch and moan on public forums about you raising prices in the midst of a fearful political climate?  Then don't raise prices.  Works both ways.

if that's the case, all is forgiven.  i didn't pay enough attention to see they were running an actual sale, just knew the prices they've had for the past few weeks, and then saw they were higher after the election was called.
