I wonder if any of those crashes were because of overheating. As I recall, the original Xbox was prone to overheating if you put it on carpet, because the carpet interfered with airflow into the bottom. I don't own an Xbox, but that tidbit stuck with me.

Mine has been running madden solid for nearly two full days, and hasnt had a problem yet.
But I would rahter own one and have it crash than not have one at all. When the second gen machines come out, I will buy one of those, and give the first gen one to my brother.

Ventilation is a good point. I put my XBox on "audio spikes", that elevates it over an inch above the component below it...I've hever had a problem... |
