Jimmy Smith, the guy that ran S&S Aqua Logging passed away from cancer in November of this year.

I couldn't stand watching him berate and belittle his son. Hopefully he find peace and calm.

I have respect for loggers. That's a rough way to make your coin. I have no respect for that show since the very first episode had them out "in the middle of the Oregon wilderness" at some spots I garuntee I had driven to in my Toyota Tercel.

Ive run my own business doing residential tree removal for a living for 10+ years now- while logging is quite a bit different it is really fun to watch the show.
I like seeing how the business owners handle things and how the crews deal with problems and break downs. i typically prefer to watch Swamp Loggers though, because it doesnt seem as scripted as Ax Men is. Heli-Loggers was cool too. |

I met them doing a program for work and he was a genuine asshole i personally saw him bitch out his son and the cameras were not even on him. his son on the other hand was very polite and well spoken. they filmed allot one year very close to me and the majority of that show is so set up its pathetic. i had to correspond with the head of that camera crew via several emails and phone calls to say she was wrung out is an understatement. i also watched him try to back his pontoon into the water and dent the shit out of his bumper on a new dodge ram truck jumped out and blamed his son who wasnt in the vacinity. sad he had cancer though and passed away that way.
