It's more likely because all of the candidates suck and after the media types are done finding all of the skeletons in the various closets, they simply ask our (R)s to open their cock-holsters about something and create another corpse (soon to be skeleton in a closet).
This country elected Bush... twice. He was charismatic and appeared to be a leader when it was election time, and this was despite the usual media antics. We need a palatable candidate, and Romney is the closest thing. Don't believe for a second that the rest of them have a prayer in the election. The NRA will own his ass if he is in office, and will likely play a part in putting him there. He'll play lip service to the pro-life crowd and throw in an obligatory queer-bashing to make the religious quacks happy. Outside of that, he'd make the economy the focal point of his campaign. He isn't the ideal candidate, but he's electable and that's what our pathetic political system demands. Don't blame me; I'm a parliamentarian at heart. EDIT: Fixed accidental double-entendre typo. |

Seriously, we all know this, but how do we stop the cycle? More and more people I talk to are fed up with the Establishment Republicans BS. Everytime they put up some moderate-leaning douche, we all get shafted with bigger government. The left knows this and blatantly exploits the situation in their favor everytime. We have all seen the polls- 60% of the country identifies themselves as being conservative, yet we can't come up with a true conservative candidate? Either there are too many spineless RINO's out there or we are being overrun from within.

No... he's the crazy ass that makes the Pope sound like a hipster. Who is Bachmann? Is she the twat with the economic plan? No... she's the bitch who rode the coattails of the Tea Party right up to the suckling fest on the Religious Right teat. No one is defined by what they have to offer economically. The average citizen doesn't know their ass from their elbow economically, so we may as well just focus on making sure every destitute whore has as many kids as possible and maybe beat up a few queers on the way to church. Everyone is a "RINO" nowadays, because no one agrees on what the fuck (R) means anymore. Institutional Republicans have been spending like playboys, so who carries the (R) torch? What makes a good Republican? No one fits the bill. We've got institutional Republicans (spenders) who cling on to power with a spiel about family values, or we've got Ron Paul who is too principled to be flexible in the treacherous world of foreign policy, even when his domestic views tend to be spot on. We're fucked either way, I just hope Romney brings the lube. Obama has been a bit dry. |
