Holy balls. Check the pics. Scroll through about 12 or so pics and you'll see a nice shot of the receiver.
Pics Hopefully this isn't excessivley dupalicious. EDIT: Changed the title to reflect that the rifle is 2001, not 2011 and that corrected fact makes it unlikely that Guerena was a member here. |

Holy Fuck
ETA Investigators say that it was fully loaded but the safety was engaged and no shots had been fired... |
|
This whole mess stinks to high hell. I hope someone can get to the bottom of this.

That's the 2001 rifle. Lots of those no longer belong to the original owners, so it doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Damn. ![]() +1 I do not like the apparent trend of men being shot in their own home because they are standing in their own hallway with a firearm. Add in the other new trend of police confiscating/stomping on cellphones, and it will only further broaden the divide. |

Is it 2001 or 2011? Closer look does look like 2001. Were there Limited Edition Arfcom rifles in 2001? |
|
![]() As many of the LEOs here know I am generally supportive of the police but at first glance this whole story stinks to high heaven. |

Yes we had those rifles in 01. Given that these were sold 10 years ago and the age of the guy shot. It is very doubtful he purchased the rifle new.
Also, the pictures I've seen were very poor in quality, so getting the accurate number of that rifle may not be possible. |
|
If they shoot to stop the threat why did two or three folks do mag dumps into this guy? No way those were controlled 3 to 4 round bursts.
What were they looking for and what did they find? |
|
Guerena was 26, so it seems very unlikely that he is the original owner of a 2001 rifle.
|
|
So uh who the fuck thinks it's a good idea to grab your rifle when the police are knocking on your door with a search warrant?

As for the rifle...HOLY FUCK! |

first I've heard of this. what's the synopsis, another SWAT raid gone terribly wrong?
|
|
If all the stories of being a drug dealer were true it isn't surprising he would be in possession of a stolen rifle. It would be interesting to hear the steps the rifle took from arfcom to his hands.
|
|
Quoted: Did they find drugs? That is why they were there. No but they did fine a police officer's uniform in the house, so it must mean he was part of a home invasion crew. Actually they found a boarder patrol cap in his garage.. ![]() |
|
Anybody ever come up with a good reason why they took his ribbons and medals and not logged them in as seized evidence?

How have so many people posting in this thread missed the 64 page thread with all the Guerena shooting info?
This is a partial dupe, but I think it's fair to have its own thread since the rifle is news for the site. Still, how do you miss THAT thread? |

Popo no longer what to fuck around with somebody who is armed. Call it cost/benefit, risk/reward, or whatever, the law generally allows a cop acting in good faith to assume you are a threat if you don't drop the gun immediately. That appears to be the new SOP: Gun in hand = threat. Threat = good shoot. Good shoot = no criminal or civil penalty. |

Here is a link to a video of the operators in action.

Why would a post a thread about Guerena's rifle in a 65 page shit fest where the same 10 cop haters are arguing with the same 10 cop lovers? This thread is in no way a dupe of that shit fest. All though I'm sure people will attempt to turn it into one. |

According to the report they ran sirens and knocked, so if that's true he damn well knew it was the police. |
