That was cool, I wish more cops would that. Get your slow ass out of the left lane!!
Holy crap I cannot wait to do that! Don't even need to talk to them or give them a ticket. Fucking perfect!
I would like to buy him a donut! |
I saw a AST do that *once* in in 25 years and never in the 27 years before that. And I drive 50,000 a year.

I just wish cops had some sort of device or devices they could use to warn other drivers that they are responding to an emergency and that they should move out of the way. It would be so awesome that they could even use them when there is no emergency.
Same cop would have pulled over someone else for tailgating like that, just because he is a cop is no excuse. |

I've read studies that people who drive excessively slow, especially in lanes designed for passing, are primarily responsible for traffic jams and cause accidents the same as people speeding. |

I've read studies that people who drive excessively slow, especially in lanes designed for passing, are primarily responsible for traffic jams and cause accidents the same as people speeding. The driver of that car wasn't driving excessively slow. In fact it seems he or she was driving faster than cars in the other lanes as evidenced by the fact the people videotaping the incident had to gun it and pass another car on the right to keep the cars in view. Traffic jams are caused by too many people trying to occupy to little space at the same time, not an everyday Joe that just isn't traveling fast enough for the cop behind them. Traffic behaves a lot like water pouring out of a bottle. Tilt the bottle up slowly and the water will smoothly flow out, quickly turn it upside down and you get the exact same stop and go flow that you see on the interstate. |

What i don't understand if you are in the left lane DOING THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT could a cop pull you over for impeding traffic? and people giving you the stink eye for doing that.

Most states have an "Impeding Traffic Law" of some sort. Theoretically if you are in the fast lane doing 70 mph and everyone around you is going 80 mph you are impeding traffic and could be cited. |

Slow traffic should keep right, but saying that the asswipes that cause accidents many cars behind a slow driver is 'the slow drivers fault' is pure ambulance chasing gold! That guy might have slowed down to the speed limit because he saw the cop coming up on him. On another topic, I wonder if that officer will get in trouble for that action. I suspect he wouldn't have done it like that if he knew he was on camera. I guarantee that the hard core VASP would not approve... |

Lol Loved how when they sped up and got over to get a better camera angle the female said chill we dont have stickers.
The best part is when the trooper doesn't use a turn signal to move back left in the #4 lane.
Dang, I watched the vid 4 times before noticing this. |

Quoted: This is not an example of good policing guys. Ok, He should have pulled him over and cited him then. |

this is what police should be doing ![]() looks like i-80 heading towards the delaware water gap eta: the kid in the video was annoying as fuck |

That was awesome. I think that was discretion at its finest!
Quoted: This is not an example of good policing guys. Nope. But it sure is funny to watch, in a Supertroopers sort of way. |
Jackass was tailgating unsafely. I don't like lane hogs but he was was 4 feet or less from the rear bumper.
Was he on the way to solve a Hamburglery? Or a dire union vote? |
Best possible comment (from youtube):
i wasn't even watching the video, i was just trying to picture the girl in this video and how big her tits are
Sometimes people freak out and slam on the brakes when they see flashing police lights behind them. Unfortunately that was not the case this time and we missed out on an even more interesting video.
That ought to be a training video. (with different voice over)

I'm all for getting people out of the fast lane, but tailgaiting is not the way to do it.
That is a good way for that cop to cost the state some money. |
My thoughts, driver was not impeding traffic, only the one or ones wanting to exceed the posted speed. LEO was creating the problem and being shown as extremely unprofessional in his due regard for the public.
My solution if I was the citizen, let off skinny pedal and downshift simultaneously! Fuck him and his badge. |
Quoted: This is not an example of good policing guys. Agreed, needed more being dragged out of the vehicle and hickory shampoo stick time to properly cement the lesson to get the fuck out of the left lane if you're not passing. I drive a lot and there's always one fucking idiot that seems to not understand to GTFO of the left fucking lane in my travels. And they're usually female. There, I said it. |

That was cool, I wish more cops would that. Get your slow ass out of the left lane!! One spike of the brake pedal and that cop would look like an ass all over the internet. Tailgating is wrong, even to make a point. Even if you're a cop making a point. Don't do that. |

Its common practice in my county for the sheriff to get literally 10' from my bumper after bar close, to get me to swerve. I can't see their headlights they get so close. I now carry a video camera to protect myself. ![]() |
That made my day. Although the guy sounds like he should've been on the shortbus rather than operating a motor vehicle.
That officer needs some remedial driver's training. No excuse for a trooper.

If I was driving the vehicle:
1. Pull out cell phone, take picture/video backwards of cop 3 feet from bumper while going 60+ mph. 2. Take foot off gas and begin to slow down until he gets off my ass or pulls me over. 3. If pulled over, pray to get a ticket. 4. When ticket is received plaster photo and ticket on local news. 5. Go to court and inquire (with photo/video evidence) of why it is legal for a state officer to disregard state law 39:4-89 Edit: In my truck, when a vehicle is that close, I would probably be able to see his light bar in my rear view, and I wouldn't see ANY of his car in my side mirrors. Super dangerous. |

Sure looks like the left lane Honda was pacing the mini-van to it's right, until the lights came on.
They used to call the left lane the "passing lane". I've never heard to it as the "I'm just gonna drive next to another car for 45 miles, lane". I wonder why that is? |
