Here is an old pic. My 4" barreled SBR with YHM Wraith suppressor.

I got a new YHM Wraith XL 9mm can today. Way bigger. Quieter. Full auto rated. (I can shoulder bump this pretty easy.)
Got a carbine rail since I intend to leave the can on always.
I also got a rear diopter sight and HK style front.

So this is basically an SD MP5 in AR form.

Saaaweeet!

I can't decide between a SBR'd HK 94 clone and this.

Pretty cool. What range (distance) are you expecting to shoot with it?

I can't imagine that you are seeing much more muzzle velocity than something like a g17.

ETA: how long is it w/can and stock collapsed.

Thanks.

I did a similar build, just waiting on the Form 4 for the Multimount to clear.

Of course if you are going to imitate an MP5 you may as well have one of those to go along with it. (and no, your GSG5 doesn't count)

I'm waiting on the Form 1 on my Coharie so I can take the fake can off and have double the silenced fun.

Looks great, I like the new iteration much better.

It is pretty accurate to 50 yards and that is all I would expect from it.  With subsonics I expect even less velocity than a g17.

It is basically a pistol with a stock and a long sight radius. It is amazing what that can do. I can clump holes at 50 yards with this about as well as I can a pistol at 15.

I need to measure it but I think it is about 23" collapsed.

Is there a noticeable difference in heat when you're holding it forward over the can versus a barrel?

I don't know. I have not shot it yet.

Thanks for the reply. It seems like it would be exceptionally handy.

Very nice, I've been wanting to build something similar for a few years now, I have the lower for it ready to register, but nothing else.

I have an SBR and a YHM Cobra 9, I just need to find the money for a 9mm upper, so I can do something similiar.

Nice set up

Very nice!

I was between an SBR 9mm AR and an SBR Uzi.

I went with the Uzi first.  Should be fun with my Multimount.

Having shot both, I would much rather have that than a MP5SD.

Damn nice set up

Makes me want to build one with a longer set of rails and a barrel extension so you can go loud or quiet.

The rails would totally cover the can or the barrel so you could hold it all sorts of gangster ways.

the AR in 9mm is like a classic muscle car, they are cool to look at, sound nice, BUT they ride beats you up.

a MP5 clone is like a new BMW, so smooth its boring, so predictable,

BUT if you shoot both back to back, you will sell the AR in minutes

BUT responsible AR15.com members do the right thing and buy both anyway!

If you guys found a way to get some MP5 clones.....

If I were going to get an actual MP5 9mm clone it would be the K. I love my SBR GSG-5PK and would like one in 9mm. But It is absurd the amount of money for what is nothing more than a range toy for me.  Which is why I SBRed the 22.
