It's Anchorage––they come with the territory.

I thot that since it is so cold here that there wouldn't be as MANY homeless people.  We were hung up in traffic a few times while they loitered in the street and wouldn't move.

The only thing Alaskan Amber is good for is making the batter to dip the halibut in before you stick it in the deep fryer.  There are FAR better Alaskan beers.

Midnight Sun rocks.  Had a growler of their stout yesterday––going to refill today.

Humpys is good food.  DG84 has it right though, Alaska amber is a good cooking beer.

I've given up on midnight sun.  $9 - $14 a 22 ounce bottle of beer is excessive.  They do not have a niche market, they are microbrew and a dime a dozen.

Hey, I was there last week as well.

Hope you had breakfast at Gwennie's while in town.  Damn good corned beef hash.

Humpy's is the absolute best! Next time get the beer battered halibut chunks; the best you will ever eat.

They had a Man vs. Food there where he polished off 3 pounds of king crap, 12 oz. of reindeer sausage, salmon cakes and a bunch of other stuff.
